Unique place settled just in the middle of Sassi si Matera, a few steps from the Cathedral, fancy restaurants but also near the hiking trail. Stunning design connecting all facilities of a modern hotel with an ancient rock dwelling.

Very beautiful hotel, with friendly, helpful staff and owner. Our room had a terrace with an amazing view over Matera. The breakfast was excellent. A good position to explore the Sassi areas.

The owner and staff were very friendly and happy to organise our carpark transfer , our private day tour and restaurant recommendations. We upgraded to the 4 poster bedrooms, which had a balcony overlooking sassi and jacuzzi bath. All excellent.

We loved the warm welcome, view from the terrace (photos), spacious- and quiet room, building style, central location (easy to find below the central Duomo) and friendly helpfull staff. Matera really deserves a visit of a few days and staying in this hotel contributed a lot in our above expectation days in Matera. An extra special thanks to the sweet hotel owner that gave my gf a big fruitsalad (see photo) as a replacement for the croissants. Maybe more people would love this salad and have for example 1 or 2 croissants less. Pickup from airport and transfer to Locorotondo were also arranged perfectly, taxidriver also contacts you for final details.

Matera is an amazing place. The Giardini di Pietra is an amazing place to stay there. Booked a cave room it was beautiful, cool and comfortable.
