The location was perfect - right in the middle of the old town centre! I thought the hosts were warm, friendly and very helpful. I also loved the breakfast - fresh, delicious with a great variety of options!

This is such a nice place to stay. Very comfortable, clean and perfectly located in Matera. The hosts are outstanding. We had some problems with our travel logistics and they really helped us out. The breakfasts are delicious.

Everything about our stay in Ai Maestri was great. The owners Valeria and Nicola went above and beyond to make sure our stay was outstanding. The amount of thought and detail put into the room and building as a whole was impressive. The bed was very comfortable and clean. The room is equipped with everything you need for a short stay. Hope to return to Matera and Ai Maestri again in the future.

The room was excellent! A huge cave room with a tasteful modern design made for a unique and comfortable stay. The location is also fantastic – the hotel is in one of the older more original parts of Matera with cafes and restaurants right on the street, easy walk to major sites and not amongst the busier ‘new’ part of town.

Our stay was perfect! The room was very comfortable and clean, we had everything we needed. Breakfast was amazing and the hosts were very friendly and kind. The hotel was in a great location to explore the town. If we come back to Matera, we will definitely choose this place again :)

Loved the design of the hotel. We had a warm welcome, everything was clean, the bed was super comfy and the shower was fab. The hotel was in a great location to explore Sassi di Matera and we had dinner at a restaurant next door. Breakfast was in such a lovely area and we had great service. Thanks for a great stay!
