Riads Riad Le Petit Joyau

We arranged our transfer taxi with the Riad before arriving which was a brilliant choice as the taxi driver found us at the airport, took us directly to the nearest street to the Riad (given that there are myriad lanes and passages to walk to find any of the Riads!), and we were met by our host Willi (Waleed) who was extremely gracious, knowledgable and accommodating. Willi's English was (thankfully) brilliant and he talked easily with us about the Riad. The Riad is near the Royal Palace and we were asked to make sure we closed the main door quietly - reflecting the peace and quiet of the immediate neighbouring area. Given that this was our first trip to Morocco, Willi gave us tips for enjoying Marrakesh generally and described Morrocan hospitality, how everyone will welcome us as family (including the many vendors on the streets of the Medina!) and he was the epitome of his words - a truly wonderful, welcoming host. We couldn't have had a better start to our stay in Marrakesh. Our room (no 4) was stylish and comfortable. The bed - which we initially thought firm - gave us 2 brilliant night's sleep, so no complaints there! The bathroom was just lovely, soft towels and gorgeously fragranced soap and body cream. Breakfast is available on the roof terrace, and was ample! Bread, pastries, coffee, tea, fresh juice, jams, the option of eggs too. All served at the time we required and no rush or cut off time given which we appreciated after a lazy start to the day. We also arranged lunch for one of our days and enjoyed a fantastic lamb tagine which was so obviously made with love. Just wonderful. Thank you Riad le Petit Joyau!!

Great Riad located very close to the Medina of Marrakech! The facilities were great, especially the pool which was a very welcome addition due to the heat, as well as the breakfast. I also wanted to give many thanks to the staff which was exceptional, especially Ahmed, making me feel comfortable and helping whenever needed.

I had the most wonderful experience at Le Petit Joyau in Marrakech! From the moment I arrived, Walid made me feel incredibly welcome. His kindness and attention to detail ensured that every guest felt special, and he went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The riad itself was absolutely stunning—tastefully decorated, very clean, and full of charm. Its location was perfect, being close to all the main city attractions, making it easy to explore the vibrant streets of Marrakech. I highly recommend Le Petit Joyau for anyone looking for a beautiful, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay in this amazing city.

Good location, just outside the real hustle and bustle of the real centre of the city. The staff were all amazing, they couldn’t do enough to help you - so friendly and hospitable and helpful. The riad felt authentic and the room was nice.

Ahmed is a hero. I came to stay at this little hotel for a couple of nights, first time in Morocco and the experience was exceptional. Available 24/7, the staff will do anything to make you comfortable and at ease. The facilities are great, it's very personal and it's like a home from home (in Africa!) Thank you very much for your amazing hospitality.

An authentic Riad in a quiet neghbourhood, but walking distance from all the attractions. Very kind Staff, they were so nice to print our boarding passes and gave us takeaway breakfast on the early checkout. The regular breakfast is at the rooftop terrace and there is a choice of a few different sets - food was very tasty. We highly recommend this Riad for stay in Marrakesh :)

A little piece of tranquility close to the hustle and bustle of Marrakech! This Riad is tucked away close to the El Badi Palace within easy walking distance of all attractions. As you’d expect the rooms are set around the central courtyard and are comfortable with all the expected amenities. The roof terrace is a real bonus where breakfast was served and we watched the sun rise above the palace. A great place to unwind and relax after a day of sightseeing before venturing out again for dinner. Willie was our host for our short visit and was super friendly giving us useful tips and hints about Marrakesh and the dos and donts! He made us really feel comfortable and at home. I would definitely recommend this Riad!

Absolutely incredibly beautiful decor - attention to detail is very unique! The host was so so kind and friendly too, we had a beautiful conversation on the terrace. The breakfast was plenty and really enjoyed the stalk nests in the horizon, so beautiful!! Would absolutely come back when in Marrakech. Unforgettable stay!

It was a great stay! The Riad was Clean, comfortable, located at a good place. We had a Nice room with a Nice bathroom. Willy’s hospitality was excellent! Hé informed us about a lot of things, took good care of us and was very friendly. We had breakfast every morning , this was also very good.
