Dar Imoughlad is nestled in a stunning, picturesque valley—truly a place of beauty that needs to be experienced to be fully appreciated. Waking up to the sunrise over the mountains is absolutely breathtaking, and ending the day with mint tea on the rooftop while watching the sunset makes for a perfect experience. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and extremely comfortable. Providing a peaceful retreat after exploring and walking with Hammid, who is an also specialist excursion walking guide on the surroundings and mountains. The food was exceptional, with delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners on offer at our request. The tagine, in particular, was the best we’ve had! Hammid was an outstanding host—warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. He made our stay unforgettable, and we couldn’t have asked for better hospitality. We are already looking forward to our next visit and can’t recommend this gem enough!

Location was stunning. Hamid was an exceptional host and showed us about real Moroccan hospitality. Genuine care and help fullness. We felt like home. Guest house very comfy and warm given that location is near mountains.We fully vouch this guest house. We had a real moroccan hospitality experience. Also if you like adventure this is the spot.

The food was amazing. For breakfast, there was a variety to choose from and it was also suitable for our 1 year old. The tagines were all freshly cooked and scrumptious. We thoroughly enjoyed them. It was very cold but the blankets kept us warm during the day and night. Hamid was very hospitable and always facilitated our needs regardless of the time of day. He took us on tours to the mountains and the waterfall. It was just an amazing experience living within the Berbers and sharing their way of life.

Dar Imoughlad in Marrakech is a place I highly recommend to anyone seeking an authentic experience in Morocco. The owner, Hamid, is an incredibly kind person who takes great care of his guests. His hospitality is evident not only in his warm welcome but also in the delicious meals he serves – the taste of his dishes is truly unforgettable. Hamid also organizes amazing tours of local spots and mountain walks, providing a unique opportunity to explore the beauty of the region from a local perspective. It’s a fantastic way to discover not only the landscapes but also Moroccan culture. The price of staying at Dar Imoughlad is very reasonable, which makes it even more appealing. However, it’s worth noting that during the winter, the nights can get very cold. Fortunately, Hamid has ensured that guests can stay comfortable during chilly nights – there’s a big pile of blankets in the room, which does the job perfectly. All in all, Dar Imoughlad is a charming place with excellent service and stunning views. It’s ideal for both relaxation and active exploration of the area.

Hamid is all about his guests; a wonderful host who can provide great excursion experiences given his huge experience as mountain guide. I arranged a 10 days trip to Morocco just to be there, and it did not disappoint. The area is at the same time breathtaking and gut-wrenching, the kindness and the smile of the people is from a different world; going up and down a mountain with a donkey carrying 6 bricks at the time and being grateful versus me being grumpy for not receiving internet very well. A life lesson, not for everyone, but extremely recommended.

Had the most authentic experience here with Hamid, we visited Agafay desert and done a quad bike tour for 2 hours and also rode a camel. We hiked the park National, and he also showed us a local hike around his area. His Tagines are something I’ll miss, the food here has been amazing and believe me you never go hungry! Hamid was also very helpful with taxis, no matter the time of day he will have someone there for a cheaper price than normal taxi. If you’re wanting to experience a real Berber stay, this is the place to come!!!

Hamid leads a wonderful little hostel by the side of the road, the river and the mountains. As soon as I rang, he immediately knew who I was, showed me the room and invited me for tea. He was very helpful and attentive, and I think because of this the other guests whom I talked with were very relaxed and kind too. Now I'm sitting at breakfast, it's delicuous and plentiful. So I can only recommend. Saved me from the cold! :)
