This place is a gem and a very welcome retreat when travelling through Namibia (to and from South Africa). I was worried because Mariental is not a big place and we were just in transit. What a surprise. Friendly people, warm welcome, lovely breakfast and really nice and spacious rooms. Sufficient parking for large vehicles with accessories.

There should be a doorbell outside the gates to be able to call the reception. We did not have a local phone plan and could not call the number on the sign

Amazing guesthouse with friendly owner, well upkept garden and nice and spacious rooms: AC working like a charm, fast and reliable WIFI, comfy bed, courtesy tray with decent coffee and tea, plenty of space to sit inside and outside, advice on where to get dinner (menus were supplied in the room). Good breakfast including good coffee (not just a filtered one - there was a coffee machine with real coffee). We only stayed here for one night, but would definitely consider staying again.

The Guesthouse has so much going for it. But the biggest plus was the security. The beds were soft but comfy and the rooms were clean. The location was perfect, just off the main road going through Mariental. The staff were amazing, but a shout out to Manfred who looked after us exceptionally well!!

The shower was really great, clean, and has good drainage. The breakfast was excellent and the room was nice and clean. There is also secure private parking onsite.

This was our second time as a guest. We were given a nice welcome. However, it is always a bit difficult to check in at first because there is no bell at the gate or at the official entrance. Our room was very nice and spacious. A few elements are missing in the bathroom and need to be refurbished (missing shower head, missing soap dispenser fitting). It is always nice to find fresh milk in the fridge, so the coffee always tastes very good. The area was very quiet, we didn't find the street disturbing. However, we had tons of mosquitoes. Unfortunately, there was no Doom or Peaceful Sleep Spray. My husband had hardly slept all night. There is also no mosquito net. The breakfast is very simply. The lady who served us was very nice and always refilled everything and asked for a warm breakfast. It's a shame that no one was there for the check-out. Only the lady from breakfast was there. We missed that last time too. Guests helped each other with the Tor Remote so that they could leave the key on the room door and drive out with the car.
