Kouriton House was a delightful place to stay. Hostess Anastasia is a wellspring of knowledge about the area and its history, and greater Crete in general. She made us hand-drawn maps of driving routes and suggested off the beaten track places to visit. Her passion for, and support of, the local community shines through - from the caring restoration of this historic property to the locally sourced ingredients on the breakfast table. I would wholeheartedly recommend a visit.

A wonderful week's vacation in this beautiful country. Our hostess, Anastasia, is passionate about helping people discover Crete and its beauties. Her house, in a mountain village, has a lot of character. Her welcome, her kindness, the breakfasts, everything was perfect! We hope to come back...

The house is gorgeous, the room very comfortable and nicely decorated. The breakfast is delicious, fresh, and varied. Anastasia is incredibly kind and welcoming, and gives a lot of information about the region and recommendations for what to see and do.
