Breakfast was excellent as always. Didn't use the restaurant this time as visiting family before Christmas. The whole village suffered a power cut so the restaurant was closed on one night but the manager contacted us to inform us of the problem. Very good service & will be using The Chequers again on our next visit. Happy new year to all the staff

Excellent large room, large bed and very good bathroom. Comfortable seats to watch TV or read. Very good cooked breakfast, and a substantial Sunday Roast for evening meal Sunday.

We asked for a quiet room and were located in the Coach house- room 17. Considering our stay included New Year’s Eve it was amazingly quiet. The bed was comfortable.
