It was a wonderful and cozy house with everything we needed. We were able to relax as if it were our own home. The location was also fantastic, with cafes and galleries in Mapua within walking distance.

Great traditional and well equipped cottage. We stayed 2 nights for our visit to the Abel Tasman national park. The wharf in town was also a really cosy one to visit - walking distance.

As soon as I spotted the property, with its pretty cottage garden and heritage blue paint with white trim.. I had a big smile on my face, felt relaxed and exhaled, after staying in motels/hotels for the last few nights. Thankfully it’s not modern.. but homely, has character, very comfortable, welcoming, peaceful, nostalgic, spotlessly clean and everything I needed! (The bathroom is modern, including a bath) The property has all the essential facilities, internet, laundry, bbq, garden and outdoor setting, off road parking, full size kitchen, lovely French doors, which let in plenty of sunshine. Had I’d known what I know now… Ferntree Cottage would be the base for my entire holiday.. it’s the perfect home in the perfect central location

Right from the time we entered the cottage we were impressed. The cottage was warm and inviting with soft music playing. A home away from home.
