Loved the ambiance and the pool. Staff were lovely and it was a lovely way to finish off our trip to Costa Rica. Breakfast was good and we did eat at the hotel and the dinners were nice. The sushi at lunchtime was great and we liked the beach nearby.

Breakfast was great each morning. All staff were friendly, attentive, kind and helpful. Hotel shuttle to airport safe, efficient and enjoyable! Hotel arranged safe taxis for us to local restaurants. The wildlife around the hotel was amazing to see. Saw sloths & monkeys from our balcony. Birds including a toucan from the pool area! Beach was lovely, path down to the beach was steep but beautiful. Very relaxing and beautiful to stay here. Evelyn was very helpful to speak on the phone to us prior to our visit and booking our shuttle and Ian helped with our EFrains tour booking to the park

The room was a fantastic size - a family room with two king-size beds and a lovely bathroom with a shower and a bath - perfect for a family of four. There is a small fridge which is very helpful plus a large balcony which monkeys visit every morning play which our children loved. Breakfast was nice but we stayed 8 nights so became very samey after a few days. They could have varied it a little every other day, for example. The beach was a short walk through the undergrowth of the jungle which was nice. The hotel is on a huge, steep hill, which we wasn't a problem because we walked and the hotel offer a gold buggy every time you step out of your room or the restaurant to offer you a ride.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Shana By the Beach in Costa Rica, and it was an unforgettable experience! The hotel is stunning, nestled right by the beach with breathtaking views and lush surroundings. The service was exceptional from start to finish. A special shoutout to Warner, who took great care of us around the pool and restaurant. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor made our stay even more enjoyable. Derek and Javier were fantastic during breakfast, ensuring we started our days with delicious food and warm hospitality. We also want to thank the gentleman who’s name we didn’t catch, who drove us around in his buggy. His helpfulness and cheerful attitude added to the overall wonderful experience. We will definitely return to this beautiful property and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect getaway in Costa Rica.

Loved everything. What a beautiful haven. After 30 hours travelling Shana was the most welcoming hotel we’ve ever stayed at. The rooms, pool and restaurant are all fantastic. The surroundings are out of this world, set in the jungle with lots of wildlife to see and private access to a beach. Ideal location for excursions. My daughter cried when we left as she had such an amazing time there.
