The room we stayed in was cozy with a nice heavy blanket, up against a window having the garden with fragrant flowers and the sound of native birds. The gardens look great! Chris was an excellent host and the breakfast scones were great! One of the most historical/oldest places we have stayed in, 4kms away from historical St. Thomas church, close to town, and not far from King Jarrah. Very calm place to stay overall and the resident dog Lola is a character.

Interesting 'heritage' building in a quiet rural location. Attractive garden. A 'continental' breakfast that was reasonably good. Pleasant, communicative host.

We always upgrade to the menu breakfast. The fruit bowl is amazing. Spend 10 minutes in the garden eating it and you're a better person.

Really great hospitality, meeting & greeting on arrival, quick tour & explanation of facilities, had kindly turned on heater to warm our room. Our room & ensuite beautifully clean, & thoughtfully decorated, and we could see & enjoy same artistic mix of eclectic & colourful decor and beautiful old pieces throughout historic homestead. Fabulous gardens starting spring blossom. Great cooked breakfast in lovely light & homely breakfast room with good company of other guests. Very easy & comfortable & cheerful place to stay - thank you Chris.
