So glad we found this place! Our room was rustic, warm, spacious and comfortable. The grounds are private complete with horses, dogs, cats and chickens! The staff were so friendly, helpful and so sweet, they even organised a anniversary surprise for us. Dinner is a must, it was absolutely delicious, some of the best traditional Italian food we had on our holiday! They were also very accomodating with dietary restrictions. We could not recommend this place more. We wish we had another night!

Il Poggio was absolutely beautiful. The whole place was even more stunning and lovely than the images and website describes. The rooms had gorgeous furniture and fittings and modern bathrooms with plenty of towels and room to store your items. A decent sized fridge if you're travelling with chilled items. The restaurant was excellent. The layout was open and light filled and the food and service were amazing. I didn't expect it to be as polished as it was. The staff were always very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend booking the private spa for 2 hours! Amazing to have a sauna, Turkish hammam, spa and relaxation room all to yourself. And it's an easy trip to the Cascate Di Mulino for the outdoor thermal springs (go early to beat the crowds).
