We had an amazing stay at Kambaku. Everything was perfect - Gary and his team's hospitality, the fantastic view, the huge room beautifully decorated, the gorgeous food and the animals you can watch from the garden. It is a little paradise that we thoroughly enjoyed. Be sure we will be back and for longer this time. Thank you for making our stay so special.

Our second stay at Kambuku River Lodge was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, it felt like coming home. The game drives, once again, were a highlight. Breakfast was a treat every morning—fresh and delicious. The lodge’s amenities are top-notch, blending luxury with nature. The room is comfortable and beautifully designed, offering stunning views of the river and the surrounding mountains. But it’s the staff that truly make Kambuku River Lodge stand out. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care for guests are what elevate this place to another level. We’ll definitely be back for the third visit.

Dear Leanne and team, Thank you so much for the most magical few days at Kambaku. My partner and I have travelled a lot doing many safaris and our time here was second to none. The accommodation was truly a truly stunning and it was so special to have animals in the back yard then just over the fence were most of the big five during our stay as well. The staff were incredible, Dennis and Elvis brought smiles and joy each day then the massages were simply fantastic as well. Also the messaging system to keep upto day was incredible and very helpful. We loved all the food we got and it was amazing to have it all by our own pool as well. Anyone doing safari at Kruger would be lucky to stay here and we can’t wait to return. Thanks, Ollie and Maddie

The whole lodge and it‘s surroundings, how nice the rooms are fitted, the beautiful garden with the view into the Kruger and especially the service and food. We loved every second that we stayed here and will definitely come back!

Beautifully decorated accommodation in the most beautiful setting. One could not ask for a better way to treat yourself. Staff is friendly, helpful and professional. Room size and privacy is awesome and the room offers more than needed. The food was delicious and the way it was served right in front of our room was extra special, not to mention how lovely the table was set. We enjoyed watching the elephants and hippos right in front of Kambaku River Lodge.

Absolutely clean and very spacious. Enough hangers for all my clothes for 4 days and lots of shelves. A coat rack which came in handy and two luggage pedestals. 2 cans of peaceful sleep mozzie repellant so I didn’t need my own. You will need it for all the ants that will bite you when you go near the fence to view the animals. Shower is so spacious and bathtub looked so inviting even though I didn’t have enough time to spend an evening there. Shower is gas which meant a hot shower every time! They even managed to loan me a yoga mat as I’d forgotten mine. The location is excellent and I miss the sounds of the bush at night as I slept with my doors open and only the crimestopper locked which also kept the mozzies out! Saw so many elephants, hippos, crocodiles, impala, waterbuck and bird species. They make it hard for you to leave the lodge. The lights on the river at night make it feel way for you to sit and watch the night time animals so much so that you forget the time. An outside evening fire was lit everyday with extra firewood purchasable. Fully equipped kitchen. Lovely snacks packed in cooler boxes on the morning and evening game drives you book with the lodge. The guide is knowledgeable and stops even for you to see birdlife. We got to see big 5 on both my game drives with the lodge, which was the highlight of my trip! Warm ponchos provided for those early morning game drives. Stainless water bottles and flasks available to take with for a hike and free still water in a water cooler for your entire stay! Blankets in the patio for those cold evenings or to take on game drives. Seating inside and outside the suite. The pool was always clean considering it’s autumn. The food for every meal was mouthwatering and large portions enough for me to skip lunch and have a late breakfast and dinner. They’ve almost thought of everything!! 4 nights wasn’t enough!
