The fine print
From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. A surcharge of 10 MYR applies for arrivals after 10 pm. All requests for late arrival are subject to confirmation by the property.
Please note that a 2.5% bank charge will be applied to all the guests who use the credit card. This fee will be collected upon arrival.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.
Payment before arrival via bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions.
This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties.

Excellent location, a few minutes walk to Jonker Street, it's a scenic walk along the river. The surroundings are quiet and less touristy, there's a local style 'kopitiam' at the corner and other kopitiam nearby. The room is clean, the room has air-conditioning and a ceiling fan, a small study table, night standing lamp and site table. It's simple and neat. It would be ideal to have a room with a window or the door with louvres. There's hot and cold drinking water 24/7 in the kitchenette; there's a paid washing machine. the superb owner upgrade my room to queen bed instead of a single bedroom, the room rates are good value.

Very accommodating staff, property is very clean and you can move around freely. The location is near the tourist spots in Melaka and you can get home late at night on foot.

Kuan is great! Since we were staying longer she placed us a couple doors down in her other place, The Cardamom Hostel to give us more space. The facilities at this hostel were basic but great (clean, good water filter, crockery, washing machine, nice showers). We extended our stay to 6 nights and Kuan was easy to deal with! Location is AMAZING - Super quiet, on the river, 5min walking distance to the city centre, quality well-priced food options next door for all meals (hawker stalls and restaurants). If we come back to Melaka we'll stay with Kuan again.
