The fine print

The location of the hotel was superb. The staff was friendly. The room was clean and simple. The design and interior of the hotel was really pretty and it was nice that they even have a mini museum in the hotel to showcase the peranakan items. It was also nice that they have an in-house spa amd massage facilities and the price for guests are very reasonable.

The staff are always friendly and helpful. It's our second stay here this year and it feels like a home away from home for us. This will definitely be our go to place when we visit Melaka!

The hotel must have been beautiful years ago when it was new, but currently, it is very very worn out, we paid a relatively high price for a room that smells like a grandma's abandoned house we honestly felt cheated... We were happy to find out that we could take an elevator to our room (impressive for such an old building), but only to find out later that we had to take the stairs down after taking the lift to reach our room... The hotel has really interesting decorations and artwork about the history of Melaka and Malaysia, but I think it's been forgotten far too long everything is dusty, dirty and worn out...

The location is really good, just behind Jonker walk. Walkable to riverfront. A lot of activities to partake. A unique experience staying in a heritage building, facilities are limited, (i.e no swimming pool, no gym) but the "old charm" makes it unique. Breakfast was surprisingly good.
