Lovely place with gorgeous beautiful rooms. I do think though for the price point they can invest in proper spa facilities and clearly state that the activities are an hour away from their location.

It is a one-hour drive from Johannesburg—a perfect weekend getaway. The room is spacious and well-appointed. The garden is beautiful, and the internet is good. The fine dining dinner was superb, and the breakfast was very satisfying.

Beautifully open property along the river with space to walk within the extensive grounds. We had a lovely room and especially enjoyed the underfloor heating in the spacious bathroom. We were very pleasant surprise by the "gourmet" fish and chips we got through room service which was excellent. We found the staff we met on the property to be friendly and engaging, enhancing our enjoyment of our short break. We really enjoyed our dinner as well; the broccoli in particular was exquisite. The twin fireplaces in the lounge were extremely effective and made the lounge a very pleasant venue for relaxation in the nippy late winter evening.
