It was in central Madrid, I didn’t need a metro ticket ad could walk everywhere. The hotel facade and lobby is reasonably pretty. the staff at the reception desk was very friendly and helpful. my room had a safe.

Hostal Persal is a charming hotel located right in the heart of Madrid’s historic center, making it ideal for exploring the city. The building itself is beautiful, with tastefully designed interiors that reflect the area’s classic charm. Surrounded by numerous cafes and restaurants, the location is vibrant, and main attractions, the metro, and suburban trains are all within easy reach. The room I stayed in was spacious, providing a comfortable stay, and the cozy lobby offered a great spot to work or relax.

If you are looking for a swanky hotel then don't stay here. If, on the other hand, you want somewhere that's reasonably priced in the centre of Madrid then this place will do just nicely. The location was great, you can walk everywhere from here but there is a metro nearby if you want it. The area is pretty much pedestrianised which means it's quiet and away from the madness of the traffic in other parts of the city. The room was perfectly clean and the reception is staffed 24 hours by staff with good English. I didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on that but have no complaints about my stay here.

Central location walking distance to all major sites. Liked the square outside the hotel door with many bars & restaurants nearby. Spacious bedroom with good sized bathroom shower was brilliant as was the hairdryer (more powerful than other hotels I have stayed in). Self service breakfast was lovely with lots of choice & a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend!

The location was great, didn't feel like it was in the middle of tourist hot spots. Good bars/restaurants/shops on a small scale. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was small (single) but comfy.

Location is perfect and the staff is very welcoming. We got a nice room facing the inner yard, it was very quiet and cool, even with +38 we did not need AC. Breakfast is basic, but overall ok: boiled eggs, pastry, cereal, some fruit, cheese and ham. Bad and pillows were quite comfortable, we had a good sleep.

The place is in the centre, walking distance to everything you need, eat and see. The staff are great, so helpful. I love that it's a small boutique hotel with a quaint feel. The foyer and dining area are so cute. It's a basic hotel with the right amenities and feel.
