Second time staying here, so as you may guess I like the property. Not a place to get crazy about, but still over the average, the common areas are nice, shared room for 8 is big and spacious, very comfortable. Price is very reasonable, it is very cheap when off season. The private bathroom in the shared room is properly equipped, hot water and showering gel provided, nice detail. Big locker, you need to bring your own padlock. Beds are comfy and rooms feel safe, you need a card to open the room's door. You have a lamp, electricity outlet and a narrow shelf in the bed to put your phone, glasses, etc., nice detail. There is someone at reception 24 hours and late at night you need to ring the doorbell for them to open, adding an extra layer of safety. The staff are nice people. Location is perfect, close enough to the train station, around 20 something minutes walking or just couple of metro stations in the same line. Area feels safe at any time, even late at night, and you are close to bars, places to eat 24 hrs a day, metro station very few meters away and basically you are in the downtown, location is very good, very convenient place. They also have towels for rent.

Price, location, comfort of bed, cleanliness. Context: I'm a 50 year old man so staying in a hostel isn't something I've done for a long time and it wouldn't be my first choice of accommodation. But I was travelling to Madrid with a friend for a concert and needed something cheap and convenient. Far Home Atocha met our needs adequately.

I loved everything about this hostel! It's the center of every tourist spot that you need to visit to! There are neraby metros, cafes and it was easy for me to get into uber when I had to. Ambience of the room is good, it's the same in the photos. It was clean as well. Beds were comfortable. Shower area is clean. There were always staff cleaning it so it was nice. Hostel staff were nice and accommodating too. KItchen area was well maintained as well. I wasn't able to try the breakfast but it looks good. Will definitely book again for my next visit.

cleanliness of the rooms, bed sheets, enough space in the room, lockers for personal stuff (without a lock) fresh air and not hot for sleeping.
