Perfect location in the centre, staff very helpful, very clean, close to metro, fantastic breakfast, it was my birthday so they gave as a present some chocolates and and bottle of cava which was a very nice detail. Although on the main road the insulation was very good from traffic noise. Air con that was modern and functioned.

We had a great time staying at the Catalonia Plaza Mayor over the New Year period. The hotel itself is comfortable, clean and is furnished to a high standard. The staff are lovely and welcoming and very helpful. The breakfast on offer is excellent and we also enjoyed the New Year’s Eve dinner which the chefs altered to allow for specific dietary requirements without any fuss. We were well looked after and would certainly stay again.

We were a family that took three rooms. The rooms are good in size and well designed. The beds / pillow super comfortable. The staff was helpful. The location was very close to Plaza Mayor and still a walkable distance to Museo del Prado and El Retiro. We really enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is well located in the Madrid city center. Very friendly staff at the reception. Clean and comfortable rooms. It was also very quiet in the room even the windows were direcred to the main street.
