We had an amazing time at the Tau Lodge. The facilities were great, the staff excellent and we loved the game drives. Besides the animals we saw, the thing that really stood out were the cottages and housekeeping.

Beautifully kept. The views to the waterhole were amazing with a lot of wildlife coming for drinks. We saw elephants, rhinos, zebras, kudu, water bok, springbok, crocodiles all there. The food is amazing and very good quality/ high standard. The staff was super nice and polite and the game drives amazing. Rose took very good care of us and made sure the game drives were unforgettable. There is a funny friendly group of resident monkeys in the lodge area. There is also a playground for kids. The 2 pools are also very nice, but maybe just a bit small if the lodge would be full.

Great location. Only a few kms on dirt road from the main Rd. From check in to check out everything was perfect. Room and bathroom excellent. Good viewing deck from the room overlooking one of the water pans. Lots of Elephants use it. Restaurant also excellent with different themes each night I was there. Food was good.

Thanks to the lady Chef, Lazarus and Joyce. Dinner at a campfire site was lovely. The food for my vegetarian parents, the non veg for my husband and the kid's meal were delicious. The entertainment with the staff singing and dancing was enjoyable!

The staff were excellent, they made you feel straight at home and were extremely accommodating. We were never hungry, the food was fantastic and served in a creative way, one evening we had a brai in the bush; an amazing experience! The location next to a watering hole, meant that we had elephants directly outside our room and could watch a variety of animals drink and wash over lunch, you could watch and stare for hours. Lazarus our ranger was excellent, knowledgeable and patient with our many questions. He made us feel at ease around all animals. We also had a great massage, recommend the spa facilities for anybody interested.

Rooms are average and need updating Staff excellent Reserve is over populated with ellies and something needs to be done!!
