The fine print
A deposit via bank wire within 48 hours after booking is required to secure your reservation. The property will contact you with instructions. Thee location on this side of the island, especially out of high season, summer is very quiet and peaceful. I could leave my window open at night to hear the sea without being disturbed. Many people hire scooters which would make travelling around the island easy. Since I didn't want to do this I found that there were just enough options of places open to eat that I could walk to, out of high season the road to the hot springs is very quiet and at night it felt safe to walk with a flashlight to the springs. What is important to know is that the owners don't speak any English and didn't respond to my English texts via Booking.com so I didn't realise that I needed to let them know which ferry I would arrive on to meet me. Also they prefer payment in cash although they did managed to take my credit card. I'd get a Mandarin or Taiwanese speaker to give them a call for you the day before you arrive.
