The staff were really helpful with all sorts of things like working out what bus to catch, and what places would be open on a public holiday. The place felt friendly. Our room was surprisingly big, very comfortable, and the hotel decor was great, quite quirky.

We stayed in this beautiful hotel for three nights. Many of the original features still remain today. There are beautiful and unique pieces of furniture, paintings, books and photos etc displayed throughout the hotel. All areas of the hotel were exceptionally clean and well maintained. The owners and all staff were very friendly and enjoyed sharing points of interest in their city. We would highly recommend a stay at the Hotel de Verdun.

The location is perfect, it's a little distance from center which is alway crowded, and Double room is very comfotable to stay for a few days which feel lke home. Breakfast is very good, and the quality is high.

Hotel Verdun 1882 in a word “exceeded” expectations. This was my first stay in this part of the 2eme, near the Gare Lyon-Perrache. Location is excellent for walking with easy access to the Metro. Many restaurants in the immediate area. I opted for the largest room, with a small balcony…worth the extra cost even if traveling alone. This Hotel caters to couples and adult single travelers, and is efficient and quite relaxing with classical music in the breakfast area. The location is quiet, the king bed was very comfortable and they have installed excellent noise blocking double-pane windows, perfect for a good night’s sleep. The shower is separate from the toilet, delivers excellent hot water and pressure. A functioning elevator available for the stair-challenged.

The location was perfect for us. We were close to the train station - convenient for our car rental. We were able to walk to many of the places that interested us. There were also many good restaurants nearby, and at the end of the day, our room was comfortable, clean, and quiet.
