Svetla “Super comfortable stay in a lovely villa with an amazing host”
Villa Bahri is the best place for a comfortable and truly memorable stay in Luxor. First, the villa itself is amazing, surrounded by trees and singing birds, with cool pool, sunbeds and umbrellas, natural shade, nice garden patio and all kinds of small conveniences. The apartments are very spacious, traditionally decorated, very cool even at 40+ celsius, beds were comfortable, big bathroom, all kitchen amenities. Enormous terraces with view on both sides of the villa. The villa itself is close to the Valley of the kinds and queens, in a very quiet setting, where you could see the peaceful rural life with cats, donkeys, horses.. At the same time it is 5 mins from local shops, bakeries, grocery stores and 15 min walking to the ferry taking you to East bank. Ahmet is the best host you can get if you want to make the most of your stay in Luxor. We had 3 full days and 2 semi-days in Luxor, and he did the impossible so we could see absolutely all sights around. He got us a Luxor premium pass outside of the working times (I liked the pass, with 2 kids we could get in and out of everywhere and re-visit the next day if we wanted, and so we did), arranged for us transport and guide to the sites we wanted to visit. In all, he made sure we could follow our tour plans just as we needed. The guide he chose for us was very competent and providing tons of information! Our stay in Luxor was one of the most memorable experiences we had and I could say without any doubt that Ahmet and the super comfortable Villa Bahri was a key factor for that. Thanks for everything!

Normally I don't write any reviews, but now I have to. What a beautiful place! I was hoping for a balcony, instead I got three, plus the roof terrace. You get a nice view on the valley of the kings, especially at night. And don't forget the pool. The place is situated well, close to all the sights of the westbank, restaurants, shops. Achmed is also an excellent tourguide, he really knows a lot about ancient egypt. Not the typical blah blah. If you want a guide and he got free time, go with him. He'll organize everything for a reasonable price. And he'll fetch you some beers if you want :)
