The breakfast was exceptional! Lots of handmade salads and dips. The family room was nice and spacious with two separate bedrooms.

Location in the middle of the old town. A clean and tidy hotel in a beautiful and well renovated building. The historical and calm ambience was very calming. Note that this is a Herberge, don’t expect anything luxurious! There are rooms for reading/studying and for cooking, so this is a practical accommodation. No TV in the rooms, use your spare time outside :)

The hostel-monk room was as described. Bed was comfortable. Wifi worked great. Showers were clean and hot. Access to kitchen was appreciated. Kitchen included basic amenities. The breakfast was EXCEPTIONAL!!! The breakfast staff and front-desk staff were also exceptionally friendly. Location is right in town-center. Grocery stores 10-minute walk away.

I've booked this hotel for the second time, because me and family liked it here really much. The localisation is great, breakfast is tasty and filling. The rooms were most importantly clean and comfortable. Not to mention the decor of them. Being given the opportunity to stay at historical home of Cranach family was definitely something else! 10/10
