The scenery is beautiful from the accommodation, the staff were friendly and helpful (even though most couldn't speak english), and the breakfast was delightful with lots of options (no hot food).

Spectacular surroundings, everything spotless, new and very comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were amazing and fresh with the option to have them on the terrace. Room was huge and amazing view.

Herol Mountain Retreat is really exceptionell. And we can highly recommend this location. The staff (family) are so nice and gentle. Helpful with every questions we had. The rooms are really nice, quiet. The Restaurant was excellent. Most products (Meat, jam, vegetables, grain/cereal products) made by their own. And the Spa was wonderful after a great hiking tour. We´ll come back.

A place with a charm :) It's located literally in the mountains with great views all around it. The hosts are friendly and put a lot of care into running the hotel. We liked breakfasts. There are dinners prepared by a chef but we didn't have a chance to taste it. The room isn't big but there are a lunch lounge, a main common room and a terrace with a panoramic view at the mountains where you can chill and rest during your stay. If you're planning to move around Dolomites, getting to the hotel requires climbing up / driving down a winding road. But for just staying in the hotel and enjoying hotel's facilities (horses!) it's great :)
