Location is great in the central, 10 minutes walk from the train station. The view from the windows is amazing at the lakeside. Staff was really helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast place has a nice atmosphere and they offer several varieties for breakfast in good quality.

I booked two interconnecting rooms. Both rooms had amazing views! The view of lake was amazing ! Rooms were comfortable and very clean! We also enjoyed the breakfast included in our stay. This hotel would be our first choice when visiting Lugano!

The view of the lake is stunning, unobstructed and possibly even better in real life than the picture can give away. If you’re in for the view this is the place.

This was our second stay at Hotel Walter au Lac and did not disappoint. It is perfectly located with lovely views and a slightly old-fashioned feel. Breakfast is excellent and we had a very good recommendation for dining from the very helpful reception staff.

Central location and fantastic view! Seeing moon rise behind the mountains as well as dawn in the morning was the unique experience!!!
