Where do I start? Everything was perfect: the rooms are in a historical place: Palazzo Froussard. The decoration, comfort, attention to details, location were wonderful. But what made our stay so memorable was the host, Tobias. He offered us a bottle of Prosecco on arrival. He shared with us all his favorite restaurants and bars. His recommendations were spot on. Tobias even took care of my laundry at no extra charge! All this made us feel like we were old friends. Our trip was so much more enjoyable as a result. We can't wait to go back to Lucca and stay at Palazzo Froussard.

What a wonderful property. Located within the walls of the Lucca, this grand property was perfect for my week long stay in Lucca. It was comfortable and the decor beautifully finished. I loved the windows overlooking the garden and appreciated the inclusion of fly screens to protect from mosquitos entering the apartment. Tobias was an incredible host, attentive and helpful and helps make the stay excellent.

Tobias was wonderful I’m looking after us as guests. He gave us all the information we needed, he was so kind and courteous . The property is fantastic and architecturally so interesting and renovated to a very high standard. Looking out on the gardens was truly beautiful. The apartment was excellent , a very good well equipped galley kitchen , very comfortable and the interesting art work all added to the relaxing ambience of this lovely place to stay in Lucca.

We loved everything about this space. We stayed in room 10, a palatial room with modern finishes and touches nodding to its illustrious past. Whisper quiet at night; the conveniences of air conditioning; screens; an historical garden view; a modern kitchenette; with microwave and dishwasher; plenty of hot water and everything was spotlessly clean. Beautiful bed linen and an extremely comfortable bed. There were a few personal kindnesses also and our host Tobias was gracious and generous. The Palazzo sits inside the city walls, with convenient parking and a few hundred metres walk to the old town, it was wonderful stay and we were sorry to leave.

Lovely apartment, cosy and super clean. Tobias is the perfect host. He is justifiably very proud of the palace, its history and what it offers guests now. Idyllic setting which is the cherry on the cake.

Great location within the old city walls. In a quieter part of the Fort but everything is within a 10 minute walk. Super warm, helpful and responsive staff, excellent housekeeping, and well appointed rooms. The history of the place is also impressive!

It was a beautiful space with everything we needed, spacious, modern and well maintained rooms and the property is steeped in history. The staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable, we wish we could have stayed longer. It’s a perfect location if you have a car as there is ample parking nearby and you’re still close to the main Piazza’s.

What a beautiful place! I loved the decor and furniture. The bed was comfortable, the shower great and the room was huge! I wish we had booked for more than one night. We had a kitchen and a separate entry with wardrobes as well as a sofa and table and chairs. The view over the gardens and the walls of Lucca were fantastic. Tobias is lovely and so friendly!
