“House with nice swimming pool, but in a remote location”
18 Jul 2023
Villa Sterna is a very big and spacious house with 3 floors. The ground floor could be considered a separate apartment with a separate entrance and its own kitchen, which could be ideal for two families staying together. In addition to two separate kitchens there are several separate bedrooms on each floor. The terrace on the 1st floor is big, surrounding almost the entire house, and has a great view towards the sea and the garden and swimming pool area, being great for breakfast and dinner alike. There is a bathroom on each floor, including the upper floor, so there is sufficient capacity for a full house of people. The kitchens are specious and well equipped, making it easy to prepare food yourself. The swimming pool was probably the best part and is probably one of the main reasons why you should stay at Villa Sterna. The swimming pool is quite big, maybe 5x10 meters if I should guess from memory, and the depth is from 1 to 2.5 meters, so that it is suitable for most. There is salt water instead of chlorine water in the pool, which we found to be great. There is light in the pool, so it can also be used after dark. There was a pool guy dropping by during our stay, but he did not remove all the sand etc from the bottom of the pool, only the insects etc floating on the surface. This was however not a problem, but could improve just for the looks of it. There is also a volleyball/tennis/basketball court, but it was not used much as there is limited equipment available, it was too hot during the day and there was no lighting on the court for use in the evenings. The nearby beach was also quite good, but you either have to walk for 5 minutes through the “bush” or 10 minutes around on the road to get there. Towards the end of our stay we discovered that down at the beach we could jump from the cliffs (up to almost 10 meters), something which could be fun for larger kids and grown ups. But be careful about the depth... The WiFi was OK, but sometimes unstable.
