The room was spacious and had an amazing view overlooking the jungle and sea. We liked leaving the curtains open at night to watch the sunrise each morning from bed. The staff were friendly and helpful and even packed breakfast for us to go when we had to leave early. The pool area is nice after a long hike. The massage I had was very relaxing. The local beach is great and we happened to stumble across some turtles being released into the ocean.

This place is amazing. We had a lovely thatched cabin and they are all well spaced apart amongst trees and shrubs. Our balcony was above the canopy and the birdsong morning and evening was wonderful. The grounds are extensive with a forest walk marked out where you can see monkeys. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a problem with the A/C when we arrived and it was fixed within an hour. The restaurant is open sided with great views and breakfast was delicious.

Villa Maria as a location and property, plus the staff who worked there, all exceeded our expectations! It was tranquil and beautifully nestled in a jungle-forest type setting. Food and service for breakfast, lunch and dinner all excellent. Food selection and quality perfect too. We were so content and happy there and wish we'd have been able to spend more than four days. Only a 15 min walk max to the beach. It was a safe and easy walk to the beach and a lovely walk along the beach. The pool on property was also very nice. We thoroughly enjoyed a day hiking in Tayrona National Park. The main entrance is only 20 mins drive from Villa Maria. In the other direction, we drove to a waterfall, also only 20 mins and a 40 min walk to the waterfall. Both trips and the to and from airport run we used Girona Travel, who have safe and clean vehicles and provide cost-efficient transportation.

Absolutely amazing place, perfectly located, food was fantastic with a wide selection, facilities and wifi were top-notch considering the obvious challenges faced due to the location. The nearby beach was amazing, quiet, with great restaurants, as good as anything in the National Park, which was rammed full of tourists. Staff are fantastic, friendly and helpful, very attentive and knowledgeable about the area.

An amazing experience staying in the jungle right next to Tayrona national park. We loved the location and the proximity to the amazing wild beaches of Tayrona.

This place is beautiful - in the jungle with 10 minutes walk to the beach. We had a bungalow on the other side of the hanging bridge (from restaurant and reception) and we loved the large private terrace with hammock, table and chairs, AND sunbeds! The staff is very helpful and friendly. We stayed for a week but could have stayed longer!

Great location for visiting Tayrona, bus stops just outside. Grounds are very well kept and property is huge, we were staying in the furthest away bungalow (28) which was a trek but we didn’t mind. Staff at reception are very friendly and helpful
