The shared spaces were lovely, the breakfast was exceptional, and the shared kitchen was very convenient given the cost of eating out on Svalbard.

My New Year’s celebration at this place was the best ever! The New Year’s dinner organized by the restaurant, along with the chef and service, made it the most incredible memory. I will definitely come back, but during the summer, and I want to stay only there. very authentic and exactly what I look for as a traveler

The character and personailty of the place. Its not just a standard hotel with no history. This is a Svalbard monument.

I had an epic time there. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Often they gap and exchange information and knowledge. The atmosphere is charming and friendly. I highly recommend it to both single and couples and also recommend to stay longer here. You won’t regret it.

It was by far the coziest place we're stayed in, everything from the decor to the people, there's a warmth that's hard to describe in words. In 5 nights we had bad weather and no northern lights until the very last night when we simply WALKED OUTSIDE OUR ROOM AND SAW THE NORTHERN LIGHTS. No tour needed, we just saw them right there and then

Super cozy place, very nice living room to read while enjoying complementary coffee and tea at the fireplace. Comfortable beds though not too wide, and clean bathroom. Delicious breakfast in super nice area with plants and coal mining atmosphere. Highly recommended!

It was great staying at Polarrig, loved those rough wooden walls, created a special style , room was pretty small but fulfilled everything for my stay :) Staff was very friendly & helpful. On my last day I forgot my Passport in the Room & one of the Staff even organised & delivered it at the Airport. I am so thankful for that. Breakfast was also amazing.
