very nice place, great pub, great staff. rooms very nice and cosy. lovely and warm on a cold winters night, great having your own wall heater. definitely stay again

We booked last minute for a work Xmas do, as we decided to stay over rather than drive home (due to Storm Darrah). The room was a decent size, clean, the bedding fresh. For our needs it was basic and within budget. On arrival, management were welcoming and helped me with my suitcase which was very much appreciated. We also spotted the menu in the bar downstairs on arrival (but sadly didn't get to sample the sausage rolls). The bathroom facilities and toilets were basic but very clean and warm and relatively near to our room.

We received a very warm and thorough welcome by the manager on site - a huge positive, one that me and my colleagues all agreed with. Rooms were basic and clean and represented great value for money.

It’s a decent pub with good food. Staff are friendly and approachable. The price is very good It’s situated in a town so there’s a supermarket and fast food nearby. Free parking is a huge bonus .

Clean, convenient and inexpensive. Good location for my requirements. Manager and staff very helpful. An amazing award winning pub was a bonus.

From the outside looks tired but character. Inside modern clean all amenities supplied towels kettle fridge TV plenty of communal showers lovely
