Hotel Overview

We are replacing the Thames Foyer with Savoy Lounge. The beautiful new space will seamlessly integrate contemporary style whilst remaining true to our much loved heritage. Innovative menus, carefully crafted by our talented culinary team, will entice you in showcasing traditional recipes with a modern twist.
The Savoy’s legendary afternoon tea will return, in addition to breakfast, coffee, lunch, cocktail hour and dinner.
Originally opened in 1889, the world-famous Savoy Hotel is situated on the banks of the Thames and less than 5 minutes walk from The British Museum and The Royal Opera House. The hotel was once visited by the likes of Sir Winston Churchill, Frank Sinatra and Katherine Hepburn.
Perfectly situated in heart of the exciting city of London, The Savoy is only 5 minutes’ walk from Covent Garden, the hotel is just 20 minutes’ journey by public transport from the ultimate designer shopping destinations of Knightsbridge and Mayfair.
With elegant marble bathrooms, The Savoy’s 195 guest rooms and 73 suites are decorated in either Edwardian or Art Deco style, blending comfort and elegance with discreet technology. Many rooms afford breath-taking views over the River Thames.
At The Savoy you will find some of the London’s best-known restaurants and bars. Experience one of our three Gordon Ramsay restaurants, with a choice from Savoy Grill, The River Restaurant and Restaurant 1890. Take Afternoon Tea in the Thames Foyer, then move to the American Bar (widely regarded as one of the world’s best hotel bars) for a classic cocktail, or enjoy a character cocktail in the theatrical Beaufort Bar.

Quietly overlooking the courtyard or the city, Superior Queen rooms allow plenty of natural light. Famous for their giant showerheads, the luxurious marble bathrooms are finished with large chrome fittings and Penhaligon's amenities. Superior Queen rooms also feature a writing desk, armchair, personal bar, Loewe flat-screen television, Vita Audio ipod docking station and bespoke Savoy furnishings. This room cannot accommodate an extra bed or cot.

These spacious, open-plan Junior Suites offer distinct sitting and bedroom areas, with some also offering a walk-in closet and dressing area. The suites are decorated in either the elegant Edwardian or sophisticated Art Deco style, with king-size beds, and city or garden views allowing plenty of natural light. The luxurious marble bathrooms all feature separate walk-in showers with the famous Savoy rain showerhead, claw foot baths, large chrome fittings and Penhaligon's amenities. Junior Suites also feature a writing desk, sofa, armchair, personal bar, Loewe 40” flat-screen television, DVD player, Meridian iPod docking station and bespoke Savoy furnishings. Junior Suites can connect to a Deluxe King room or a Luxury King room to create a three bedroom Junior Suite, perfect for those travelling with a large family.

As always, the Savoy exceeds it's own reputation. Pure luxury, and the staff couldn't do enough for us. The room was spacious, the bed incredibly comfortable. Just a wonderful place to stay.

The room was very nice, comfortable and roomy. The view was of side streets, which was very noisy and you had people swearing and shouting into the early hours of the night and at 5am in the morning

This is without doubt the best hotel we have stayed in London. The Christmas decor was spell binding. The front desk were professional and couldn’t do enough to meet our needs. The property oozes class, charm and English Christmas spirit.
