Hostel Overview

This hostel is in the heart of London, a 10-minute walk from King’s Cross Railway Station and the British Library. It provides budget accommodation with free WiFi access throughout.
The Smart Hostel Russell Square offers accommodation for guests from 16 till 45 years old in central London. We provide beds in mixed-sex dorms. Linen is provided and security lockers are available in all rooms. Shared and en-suite facilities are available depending on room type.
Reception is open 24 hours a day, and there are no curfews or lock-out times. Guests can receive tourist information and discount tickets for major attractions.
The hostel’s common room features a large TV, and guests have use of shared kitchen facilities. A Continental breakfast is available each morning for a surcharge. Self-service laundry facilities are also offered on site.
Russell Square Underground Station is 230 metres away. The Foundling Museum, Islington Farmers Market and University College London are all within 10 minutes’ walk.

Guests aged 15 or younger and above 45 years of age are unable to use the shared dorms and must book in a private dorm or room.Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Fantastic newly installed showers - wide, plenty of space for your stuff, even a basic hairdryer. The communal place was also great, large benches encouraged starting new conversations and making new friends. Breakfast was an option and I saw a lot of people taking it. Great location - right next to the tube station and 24/7 Spar for your late-night cravings. The staff was available 24/7 which was very convinient.

I had a great time at Smart Hostel! The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. The breakfast was varied and delicious, and the general facilities were excellent. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom and toilet were very clean and the location was perfect in the middle of the city and close to all the main tourist attractions. I can't thank enough the friendly and helpful staff, especially Adam, Mans, Jafar, Daler and the rest of the staff who made my stay so comfortable. I thank everyone who contributed to making my stay at Smart Hostel an unforgettable experience. I would recommend Smart Hostel to anyone visiting London."

The location of this hostel is ideal especially for its price. It's 20 minutes walking from Soho which is ideal for when you go out at night. It was quite clean and the spaces were nice and spacious. The living room area is very cool.

the hostel is very well located, with a train station around the corner and a supermarket open 24 hours a day. It is very close to the Charles Dickens museum and the rest of the tourist attractions can be reached on foot or by train. Very nice area, quiet and safe.

I was surprised how clean it was. The common bathrooms in the basement - super clean, new and very spacious. The common bathrooms in the first floor quite small. The private bathroom in the 4 pax room - very clean, and although small (ship-like), well organised and very comfortable. The room was on the upper floor, but very nice. I definitely plan to come back.
