Hostel Overview

A family-run hostel set in the heart of central London, Saint James Backpackers is just 5 minutes’ walk from Earls Court Station. Rated one of the best hostels in London 2017 by the Telegraph and combining original Victorian architecture with modern amenities, it offers complimentary breakfast.
Free high speed WiFi throughout, a spacious garden patio with free gym, communal lounge with a 85-inch Ultra HD TV with cable, Netflix and PS5. Guests can also use the modern shared kitchen to cook their own meals.
All dorms have contemporary designs . The property also offer private rooms.
The hostel is 15 minutes walk from Natural History and Science Museums and Hyde Park. Madame Tussauds, Harrods and Buckingham Palace are also a 15-minute train ride away.

No pets or animals under any circumstances.
No bicycles, e-scooters or any form of e-transport or anything with large rechargeable batteries permitted inside the hostel. They represent a fire hazard and threat to life, so MUST be kept outside.
We take a £10 - £20 CASH Security Deposit upon check-in. If you are unable to pay cash then we will accept card payment but will charge £11 and return only £10 to cover the transaction charges incurred. The deposit will be returned on check-out as long as the key is returned to us and no damage to the property is caused.Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Very nice and cozy, lovely people at the reception, Matias helped out a lot and checked me in very late in the night with a smile on his face and a great attitude! 10/10 would come again

The hostel was as advertised, comfortable for a couple of nights stay. Great seating areas for different feels and vibes. The staff was well spoken too

Hostel is in a great position near Earls Court tube, many shops and restaurants and in walking distance of the V& A, science and Natural history museums. Great for exploring. Breakfast is included in the room rate. To begin with this was 2 fried eggs, small baked beans and two small pancakes. By the end of my stay it was reduced to 1 egg following a staff meeting. There is also toast, margarine, peanut butter and strawberry jam. Free coffee ( ghastly) tea and orange/ blackcurrant squash. Several different cereals to choose from. A good start to your day. They no longer serve frankfurter sausages with the cooked breakfast. A key deposit of £10 is required. I think towels are extra not sure. There is a hair and makeup station plus an ironing board. TV lounge, games, books and power points. The communal kitchen is kept clean and is well equipped to self cater. Microwave, fridge/ freezer. Two separate hobs. There are two single toilets downstairs. I would like to say a special thank you to the lovely ANTON who is like a ray of daily sunshine in the building. Anton single handedly cooked us residents piles of breakfast every morning with a lovely smile and chitchat 😃 I would also like to thank TYSON the hostel cat for being totally AWESOME as usual 😁 Fat and fourteen long may he continue to lay on everyones bags!

Great location. Nice, polite and helpfull staff. 24 hours reception. We had a pleasant stay and met interesting people. There was a breakfast which is a plus.

The location is very convenient in a quiet street. The breakfast is great, with many options and you get warm food. They have female-only rooms, so that’s good. The common spaces are very comfortable.

It was my third stay and I have always loved the facilities and mature environment. The lounge area is so comfortable and staff are very friendly.

The Breakfast was made with love. The staff was friendly and kind. You got a lot of space to chill and connect with other people and you can use the kitchen. The beds were comfortable and you got a female only bathroom, which I liked a lot.
