Hostel Overview

In central London in the vibrant area of Bloomsbury, this large, vibrant hostel is near Russell Square Tube Station. The Generator has an internet cafe, a lounge and a games room with pool tables.
The famous Generator Bar has special deals on meals and drinks every night. Entertainment includes karaoke, a live DJ and free movies.

GROUP POLICY: Any reservation of 10 people or more per night will be considered a group with different terms and conditions. Groups reservations can only be made through our reservations team, and Generator reserves the right to cancel it otherwise.
AGE RESTRICTIONS: Individuals under the age of 18 can only stay at the Hostel when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in the same room. The room must be private. Unaccompanied under 18's are not allowed to stay in shared rooms, unless they are part of a group that has booked out the entire shared room. The group leader must provide the required documentation to Generator. Failure to comply with these policies will result in automatic cancellation of the booking with no refund. Guests violating these rules will not be permitted to check into the Hostel.
PET POLICY: We would welcome a dog on property but only when staying in a private room, and subject to a fee per dog per Stay. Only Dog under 30lbs/14kg Kindly note food purchased outside the hostel cannot be brought in or consumed in Generator Hostel London.Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

My padlock key was lost so I have to request to remove the padlock in my locker. The personnel was really understanding and helpful.

There is a very good pub downstairs with excellent caffe and more excellent burgers, with really good atmosphere. (And beer, of course.) Excellent location, 10 minutes from St. Pancras International Railway Station by walk, and 20 minutes from the Soho by tube. Internal yard for smokers, a big plus. Kind people at the reception. (Aren't all English people polite and kind?)

had an amazing stay at Generator London! The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore everything London has to offer. The hostel itself has a vibrant atmosphere, clean facilities, and plenty of cozy spaces to relax or socialize. A special shoutout to Yomade and Tosin for their exceptional hospitality and service. They went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable, always welcoming with a smile and ready to assist with any questions or requests. Their warmth and professionalism truly made me feel at home, and I’m incredibly grateful for their efforts. I’d highly recommend Generator London to anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay in the city. I’ll definitely be back! Feel free to tweak it to your liking!
