Completely renovated in 2013, Hotel Rio Muralto is located in front of the train station, 1-minute walk distance from all alle the public transport and the funicular to the Madonna del Sasso. The property is 650m away from Piazza Grande and 450m from Locarno harbor.
The hotel occupies a 19th-century villa, with air-conditioned rooms, free Wi-Fi, soundproof windows, private bathroom, flat-screen TV, minibar and paid outdoor parking. A secure storage room to leave the bikes is available at the ground floor.

We had a very good stay. Perfect position for our trip with "treno del foliage". Closeto the station and right in the center.

The hotel location was very convenient for the train station and buses. Sharon and Giacomo were super welcoming and helpful with advice on things to do in and around Locarno. The hotel was warm, dry, quiet and clean. The room was large and spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. There was a good selection of food for the buffet breakfast. We were lent a power adaptor which was appreciated.

The location was excellent, right next to the train station, about 5 to 10min walk to the town centre/Piazza Grande and Lake Maggiore. The service was excellent. The hotel staff was warm, friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean, with air-conditioning. The room and toilet were spacious. The room was very quiet, away from the main street. The breakfast was fine. The toilet at the lobby was very clean.
