The location was stunning - overlooking the Menai Strait and Anglesey, surrounded by rolling hills, woodlands, farmland, local sheep: just about everything that represents a wonderful Welsh scene. Our bedroom had an incredible almost Alpine garden outside the huge picture window, with views over rolling hills and a path leading through the garden which we would have explored on our last morning if the weather had permitted. The room was comfortably furnished, the bed was blissful and there was every facility available from extra bedding, heating, a huge selection of beverages and homemade cookies, upmarket toiletries. Above all, we had the most enthusiastic welcome from our host who helped with our luggage and then provided tea and cakes (they were so good!) in the lounge with a lovely log-burning stove. In the morning, we had a choice of 'starters' for breakfast, ranging from fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts and all manner of other items and then a sumptuous cooked breakfast which had been discussed the night before (to establish likes. dislikes and times).

Quiet secluded spot overlooking the mountains and exceptional view of the sea Ruth is an excellent host and makes you feel at home . Breakfast has plenty of variety to choose from and an option to have a tasty homemade evening meal if needed.

The breakfast was the best with plenty of choice. Ruth pays attention to detail and I enjoyed home made jams. The room and facilities very comfortable with stunning views all round.
