My "kiddies" breakfast of Egg, Bacon, Sausage, Baked Beans and Toast, was exactly as I expected regarding content, quality and quantity, it was very nice indeed. However, my wife thought the Egg Benedict breakfast was too saturated with Hollandaise Sauce, also, the Muffin could have been more toasted than was the case.

On arrival the host Craig was super friendly. It had a lovely homely feel about the place. We stayed in room 3 and it was really clean,lovely big bath and tea,coffees in room. Bed really comfy and quiet, seems,it's above the pub. We had our evening meal there, and food was amazing - definitely recommend the sticky toffee pudding with popcorn and custard! We had a cooked breakfast in the morning and all fresh & delicious. Staff really lovely in this pub. Staff really helpful and accomadating to customers- Lots of history within the pub,from photos to framed newspaper clippings on the wall. Beautiful large restaurant within the pub,large log fire with comfy sofas to sit by. Pool table and dart board on main bar with cute little cwtch to sit in. Locals are lucky to have this pub!

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The bed was super comfortable and the room was bigger than expected. It was great value for money. We had food in the pub in the evening too and that was delicious.
