Great 'mid size' hostel that's been created inside a former military prison. It's scrupulously clean and has a 'modern' feel despite the age and previous role of the building. They've clearly done a great, well thought out and executed conversion job I was on the second floor in a four bedded ensuite dorm , two single beds and a bunk. The free breakfast was quite good, the staff great, the bar prices reasonable and even better during the daily two hour long happy hour. Would happily stay again. And very happy to recommend.

The location is decent, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of choices. Overall, the value for money is good. The design is creative and has a very artistic vibe, which I really liked.

The hostel is in a great location close by the train and bus stations and 10mins to the centre. It is beside a small alternative area (like Copenhagen's Christiana) but there were no issues. Breakfasts were excellent, the downstairs sitting areas and bar was great and staff very helpful.

The staff is super wonderful. I really really enjoyed to chat with them. It was cleanliness everywhere. And also I can get a new towel. So it’s cold in the night if I use an air conditioner in winter. But I can borrow one more blanket. And also the reception opens for 24h. It was easy to check out at 4:00 am for getting on the bus to Zagreb from the bus station in front of the main train station. I really wish to stay there again in summer. Arigato ありがとう😊

The building itself is interesting as it is a former prison, also is located in Metelkova, so street art could be find in the surroundings. Location is good nearby the train station and the city centre.

I was staying in the Hostel Celica many years ago and came again this time. The place is now even more beautiful, the staff is magnificent, the bed was comfy and the breakfast very good, especially a touch of the Slovenian typical breakfast. Exterior as well as interior are very interesting and the location is top.
