Excellent location. Rooms were really spacious. Local to great bars/ shopping and transport. Staff were very accommodating. Heating wasn't working first night. Once I let staff know, there was a plumber at the door within 10 mins to fix it. Will definitely stay again.

Unfortunately we had to leave early for a family emergency so didn't stay the night but couldn't fault it I'm just waiting on a refund for breakfast that I'd paid for

The reception, the lounge, the sweeping stairways are wonderfully redolent of more gracious times when this was 'the hotel' of Liverpool & symbolised the pride & power of the city.

We had a lovely stay. Although certain areas of the hotel are dated, our room was large and acceptable. The lounge areas were pleasant. The staff were really friendly, especially the head chef. I would definitely stay again. It's a great location, with easy access to all the local attractions.

This is a grand old lady of a hotel, oozing with history. Whilst it is true that she has seen better days, it is still a pleasure to stay here. The location is great. The sense of past grandeur is wonderful. I thought the general decor was looking better than it was a few years ago.
