When we booked the Rathbaun hotel we were happy enough with the previous reviews from people so we knew it would be nice for a little break away from home. However we were pleasantly surprised when we got there. It completely exceeded our expectations in every way. It is a small bit dated but that didnt make a difference to our stay. It was probably the cleanest place we have ever stayed in and it was definetly the staff made the place exceptional! They couldnt do enough for you and the food there was the nicest we had with lovely big portions and the best of everything. All high quality food and real sausages and rashers, pudding was to die for and actual real coffee from a machine with breakfast which was so much of a bonus for me as i love my morning coffees!! The bed was unreal and the bedclothes were the most luxurious ever! so much so that i had to find out where they were bought so i can buy them for myself! The towels were lovely and fluffy too and heated towel rails in the bedrooms too... Our stay was great from start to finish and I would highly reccomend the Rathbaun and would be happy to stay there again.

Excellent location near many tourist features in Burren and coastal cliffs etc. Staff excellent. Very comfortable and clean. Food excellent. No complaints.
