We loved the central location of this property in Bairro Alto. It is an appartment hotel with a little kitchen for each room which was well stocked with free milk, bottled water, beer and wine by the hotel. The staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. Loved the rooftop restaurant for breakfast. We would definitely return here.

We loved the well-equipped studio with all amenities like a kitchen, big fridge, living room area, two tv screens, and so on. Very roomy! The complimentary drinks were a nice touch too and the lovely turn-down service. The staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to support you. We also had very relaxing massages. For my boyfriend’s birthday they were so kind to bring a piece of chocolate cake to our room, very sweet! The location is perfect and you can reach lots of bars, restaurants and sights without any issues.

The Lumiares is located at top of the vivid city district Bairro Alto with close by public transport with a awesome terrace where you can enjoy the breakfast by the attentive waitresses with amazing view over the city.

This was my first stay at The Lumiares, but it won't be my last. The hotel is lovely, and the rooftop restaurant - Lumi - has absolutely amazing food, both at breakfast (we had breakfast included in our room rate) and at all other times during the day. Their signature cocktail for the month of October - the Pink October - was outstanding, and the views from the restaurant roof deck were fabulous. The location couldn't be better. The funicular to take you up/down the hill to Av. Liberdade and the Rossio train station is literally across the street from the hotel. There are multiple Michelin-recommended restaurants within a 3 block radius, and the Lisbon Botanical Garden is an easy 20 minute walk away. The main park in Barrio Alto is also right across the street, and offers beautiful views of the city. I was traveling with 2 other friends so we booked the 2 bedroom apartment (each bedroom had its own bath). The beds were comfortable and we were amazed that even though we were in the midst of a lively neighborhood (Barrio Alto) and were there on a party night (Halloween!) - the heavy wooden shutters in our room that blocked the windows kept the room completely quiet. We heard nothing from the street outside. The apartment had a kitchenette with everything we could possibly ask for - dishes, glasses, silverware, a dishwasher, a mini fridge, a cooktop, pans - we could have easily cooked for ourselves, if we had wanted to. But truly the best part of our experience there was the people. The hotel staff - from the front desk clerks to the housekeeping staff to everyone working at Lumi - were friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to ensure that we were happy and enjoying our stay. It was a level of customer service I haven't experienced in a long time, and we really appreciated it. This is a special place.

The highlight was having breakfast on the roof terrace with views across to the castle and red roofs of Lisbon. Breakfast was a delicious selection of fresh fruits, granola, delicious pastries and a lovely selection of cooked foods. The room was lovely - beautifully decorated and had everything we needed.

The Hotel was beautiful and in a great location. We booked one of the apartments which was superb and so spacious. The staff were exceptional, very helpful and they helped make our stay very special. We didn't use the Spa... next time as we will be back!

The room was immaculate and spacious, quiet and beautifully decorated. We were given a 2 bedroom apartment so the lounge and kitchen were spacious (there were only 2 of us so the second bedroom was locked). The staff were amazing and we were left small gifts each evening. We absolutely loved the location right amongst so many bars and restaurants.
