Built in the former home of the Governor of the Belém Tower, exquisitely restored over Roman remains, probably dating from the 1st to 5th centuries, Palácio do Governador - Lisbon Hotel & SPA is a place of all times. The decor was fantastic. Plush, well designed, very elegant. With Roman baths at the entrance! The breakfast was great, the staff were incredible! As we were checking out, they had packed us cookies and water! They also provided us with a wheelchair as soon as they saw we had an older person with us. Honestly, they were just amazing, friendly, smiley, helpful... I don't know how you could possibly ask for more?!

I loved everything about this hotel! The spa was very beautiful, clean and relaxing. The staff were very polite and helpful and the meeting lounges were a huge plus as we were caught by bad weather during our stay. The buffet breakfast was amazing.

Very comfortable beds, good breakfast selection, nice decor impressive indoor swimming pool. Nice setting. Downstairs double was a good size. About 10-15 min walk to the monastery.
