Just off Avenida Da Liberdade Boulevard and 250 metres from Marques de Pombal Square, the Excelsior provides rooms with private bathroom and room service.

The location is central, and you have easy access to the shops and restaurants. I've stayed at this location before and definitely will stay again. There are some renovations going on, and the hotel has improved a lot. True value for money.

I especially liked the room that they offer for families of 4. The breakfast was very good. The location is very good. It is walking distance to many cultural and tourist spots. My family loved how we could just walk in the evening and find good places to eat.

Crockery (plates, etc) was still wet at breakfast - I dried mine with my handkerchief.

The room was OK, if somewhat small. The breakfast was plentiful - the fresh bread rolls with ham and cheese were my favourite. The location was fantastic - an easy walk to the Marquês de Pombal metro station. The staff were very friendly and all spoke English, which was very helpful.

Great location right in the centre with access to most of the "must see" places. Nice room and cold room with the sofa, chairs and table in addition which is helpful in the hot days. Friendly and helpful staff.

There was plenty of diverse food available including breads, jams, butter, Yoghurt , eggs bacon, fruit, breakfast cereals, fruit juice and good coffee. Location is excellent, rooms are quiet, clean and tidy.
