It was a lovely stay at the quieter part of Lisbon! However it was only 20 minutes walk to the main area. The only thing was we could smell smoke in our bathroom.

Unique property which is only obvious when you walk through the door. Wonderful patio to have the delicious breakfast on, fabulous room with twin juliet balconies and very large bathroom. Staff were so welcoming and helpful.

Breakfast was fab, plenty of choice and was available until noon. Room was large and bathroom was as big as the bedroom. No separate shower and water pressure was not great but plenty of hot water, lovely Molton Brown toiletries, soft fluffy towels and robe and slippers available. From the outside you'd think the hotel was tiny but it was vast and like staying in an eclectic home reminiscent of living in an era of splendour and impressiveness. We loved every part of it's quirky rooms corridors.

We had lots of rain during our visit but the hotel was a haven which we could return to in the afternoon. The lounges were extremely comfortable with complimentary refreshments throughout the day. Although we were a little way from the centre of the city there were several good restaurants within walking distance and it was easy to access taxis which were very reasonably priced.

Charming hotel with old times vibe and atmosphere. The room was very comfortable and a bit different than your typical hotel room. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Great views from the rooftop terrace. We really enjoyed breakfast.

Very chilled hotel with very friendly staff. Great location and easy to walk into other areas once you get your bearings. Lovely room, we were upgraded to one which overlooked the courtyard and river views. Great views from the library terrace enjoying a drink from the honesty bar!! Would definately return to this hotel when visiting Lisbon again. The decanter of Port in the room was a nice touch, i miss my morning pasat de nata already!!!
