Positive Aspects Location and Accessibility: The hotel is located on the outskirts of Strasbourg, but this was not a problem. Right at the hotel’s entrance, there is a bus stop that connects to the city center in approximately 20 minutes for a cost of €1.90 per ticket. This convenience allowed us to move around comfortably without needing to use our vehicle. Additionally, the hotel offers free parking, which was especially useful for us since we were traveling in a Volkswagen Caravelle, a large vehicle, and we had no issues finding a parking spot. Flexibility and Customer Service: Although check-in was officially from 5:00 PM, we arrived at the hotel around 11:30 AM. The reception staff allowed us to leave our car in the parking lot and store our luggage at reception, enabling us to make the most of the day in Strasbourg without any concerns. The friendliness of the staff stood out throughout our stay, always attentive and willing to assist. Small Courtesies: Guests could enjoy complimentary mulled wine in the hotel’s lounge area, a charming touch, especially during the Christmas season. We were welcomed in our room with some complimentary pastries, a thoughtful gesture after a day of travel. Room Comfort: The bed and pillows were comfortable, allowing for a good night's sleep despite some inconveniences mentioned later. The room’s cleanliness was satisfactory. Conclusion Overall, our stay at the Hotel Kiriya was positive, with highlights including the friendliness of the staff, the well-connected location to the center of Strasbourg, and the convenience of free parking. The hotel offers charming touches such as mulled wine and welcome pastries. However, there are areas for improvement, particularly the shower layout in attic-style rooms, the sticky floor sensation in the bathroom, and the constant noise from the elevator.
