Superb location on the hill. My room had fantastic views of Lincoln through a skylight. The room was very cosy, with well-thought out little extras eg cold water and fresh milk in the fridge, biscuits. Very friendly staff. No breakfast as such but warmed croissants and yogurt hung up on the door outside. The best hotel I've stayed in the price for a long time.

The most beautiful accomodation, complimentary croissants and yogurts, fantastic coffee and tea options, more than expected. I didn't realise how close it was to the cathedral which was a massive bonus! It was as a surprise for my partners birthday and he was just astonished, the pictures don't do it justice ❤️

Gated car park, excellent places to eat and drink within easy walking distances, which means you can lock the car, leave the keys in your room and just relax and enjoy your stay.

The whole experience was excellent. It was very straightforward to access the lodge. We arrived late and were provided with the relevant key codes to access the car park and the reception the day before, which worked very well. The hotel was amazing and in a perfect location, a stones throw from Lincoln Cathedral and aptly named Steep Hill. The room was clean and comfortable with complementary milk, tea, coffee and juice. There are two options for breakfast, the first is to book at the wonderful Bells Tea Room 5 minutes from the hotel. The second is to opt for complementary croissants which were placed on the room door handle in a little bag. We went for the full english breakfast at the tea room on Saturday which was incredible. On the Sunday we found the little bag of croissants on the handle when we left which we ate while driving home :-) Overall an amazing place to stay, right in the centre of the charming cobbled streets and historic houses of old Lincoln.
