The owner of the hostel and Ashley were excellent; extremely helpful and generous. The 4 bed dorm was comfortable and clean. The hostel has a really cool vibe and was social. You should stay here!

The owners were super helpful and the accommodation was wonderful. Would highly recommend to firnds and family.There are plenty of places to sit outside the room, including a roof top space. Just 15 mins walk to the ancient town. However, if you turn right and walk up the hill, you will come to an amazing view after 10 mins (max) inc sun set. Then if you carry on along the well maintained.stone path you will find yourself on the elephant mountain ridge. Maps don't show it but follow path and you will come to a cross road. On your.left you.will see steps. Go all the way to the top turn right and the path will take you to more amazing views. You can go to.the park from.here and if a clear morning (suggest before 8am) the snowy mountain can be seen in all it's glory. After 8 the clouds gather round the top. Bare in mind park may charge 75Y When you enter

I enjoyed my stay at the October Inn. Following the instructions I received by mail, the hostel was easy to find. It‘s location is a bit up the hill and in short walking distance to the old town (it’s a quiet neighbourhood). The owners are very helpful and kind, owning a little happy dog that likes to be petted. They even shared some delicious peaches with us! The beds are comfortable and I loved their little yard to hang out. When I return to Lijiang, I certainly will stay at the October Inn again!

The hosts helped me getting around and organise my trip. The hostel is in a quiet place, but in walling distance to all restaurants. Best place for that price.

Very well located, as it is close enough to the ancient town (15-20 min walking) but the road passes in front so it’s possible to take a taxi to/from the railway station instead of taking the bus + quite a lot of stairs. It’s very quiet and peaceful, there’s a cute dog. Lot of panda plushies in the room, which was spacious. The owner is helpful, she tried to help us book a package for Yulong snow mountain but we did not need it in the end. There’s a possibility to buy a cup of coffee or tea for 10 rmb (from the blackboard there was also possibility of other drinks, breakfast and dinner or an additional fee).

Ah Ho the Manager was very helpful to all our needs eg ,Arranging Bus to Tiger Leaping Gorge & inform Tina Hostel on our left over Luggage as we are Trekking the Upper Gorge and guiding us on nearby place of interest and also asking his sister who is an Excellent Cook to accompany our Group to the Ancient Town after Dinner. Breakfast lunch and Dinner are reasonable Charges ranging from RMB15-30.00.with the Atmosphere of a Home away from Home. We will definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay in Lijiang thanks to Ashley and her brothers! They will be available to help you book any kind of activities for the best price (romance love show, Tiger Leap...). You can also enjoy a real Chinese dinner with them for only 25yuan. The room was clean, bathroom too. It was well equipped with comfortable mattresses and heating blankets. You also have access to a rooftop and several tables outside to enjoy the sun. The hosts will also send you detailed informations to get to their place from the train station or wherever you arrive. Thank you to our hosts who even took us to the train station on the way back. Fully recommended.

Tom, the owner is very nice and try his best to help you. The location, besides being at the top of a hill, it's pretty good.
