The hotel was beautiful and the location was excellent, set above the old town of Lijiang with wonderful views over the rooftops. Close enough to walk easily but quiet too. Rooms were sumptuous and beds very comfortable. The staff were great too. In particular, Jimmy was excellent. Jimmy speaks very good English and nothing is too much trouble. He picked us up from the train station, dropped us off (early) at the airport and took us in a wonderful day trip to Tiger Leaping Gorge and Shangri-La. He also gave is excellent dining recommendations - very helpful when there are so many options!

Our host Amber was extremely helpful with everything (recommendations, arranging transport, translating etc). The hotel is at a beautiful location in the Old Town of Lijiang. We were very happy with our choise!

Location is excellent with stunning views overlooking the old town, even with sunrise thrown in! Staff were all excellent with great service. Thank you to Amber, Mr Tian (sorry if I got your surname wrong) and everyone else. The staff all is good and kind , especially the Amber ( xiao Jiang ) . She was very helpful and friendly person. We are very happy and feel comfortable to stay here. We will come back again.

We had a marvelous experience at the Zen Garden hotel in Lijiang. The hotel is ideally located in the old town. Our room was spacious, clean, and well equipped (it even featured a foot massage device). It offered a splendid view of Lijiang and the mountains beyond. Breakfast was very tasty. The staff were genuinely friendly and exceptionally helpful. They went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible, even going as far as guiding us to a restaurant they had booked for us, or driving us to the train station on the day of our departure. I don't remember being welcomed quite like this in any hotel I have visited before.

Our stay was amazing. The hotel is beautiful and in a great location to explore the old town. The breakfast is delicious, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Jimmy, in particular, made our stay even better. He answered every question we had, organised everything, was a tour guide for the day, and gave us great restaurant recommendations. Thank you so much for your hospitality!
