Overall, excellent, and will definitely be back, we both found our accommodations to be warm, comfortable, and clean, proving that the owners and staff have exacting standards... Great gate-way location for exploration of Cumbria and the Lake District... The food in the bar is excellent, with plenty to choose from, with daily specials on, a good wine list and desert specials... It's also obvious that the providence of the produce is both local and of a very high standard, and was much enjoyed...

Busy pub but good atmosphere Great menu with home made pizzas also. Cosy room, clean and comfy with a decent powerful shower. Excellent breakfast. Close to Motorway links if heading to Dales or Lakes. Nearby village shop (compact but very good ) worth a visit if you need provisions.

Outstanding hosts . Wonderful room and excellent food. I’ve visited this inn before but it’s the first time we’ve stayed for the weekend. A big thank you to Becky, Ash and all the staff for a fantastic weekend. We will certainly be back . X
