Hotel Overview

This 19th century country house, situated in the Alcanar Oasis in the south of Tarragona, was used by Alfonso XII as a summer retreat. Here, within this enclosed area, encircled by orange groves, you will feel like royalty. Within these peaceful surroundings, you can go for a cycle ride, swim in one of the 2 outdoor pools and play a game of mini golf. The beach and port area are a short walk away, where you can soak up the sun and watch the play of boats on the water. This suite is situated on the first floor and has two terraces, one with a mountain view and another one with a sea view. Junior suites are en suite and have a toilet and shower in the bathroom. Suites do not have a bath.

The Family suite is one of the hotel’s biggest suites. It is situated on the second floor, with a private terrace with panoramic views of both the mountains and the sea, and also of the hotel’s surroundings. The suite is ideal for a family of 4 or 5 members.

Situated on the ground floor, this room has a small private garden and an open-air hot tub. The spacious bathroom has a bath tub and shower. The room has heating and air conditioning, a safe, fridge and flat-screen TV. It is not possible to put an extra bed in this room type.

The hotel was amazing. Down side was Restaurant not open was told food available at the bar But only small plates ( Tapas) very limited and very expensive. . So had picnic in the room with food from the car 🚗. .

It has a delightful setting in an orange grove with palms added to give a subtropical atmosphere. The breakfast venue under a wooden circus tent with views all round of orange trees and palms was superb.

We arrived late after a long day of travelling. The receptionist came out to meet us and made us feel very welcome. She offered us an electric vehicle charging space. She showed us to our room and then arranged for an evening bar meal. We went for an evening walk amongst the orange trees and around the gardens. The breakfast was all we could ask for
